Last night on the LA news, they were showing a protest against Israel for their recent air strikes against Palestine. This got me really upset. They protest for peace, without knowing or caring why they are at war. They make it seem like Israel is the bad guy here. Israel and Palestine have been at war for hundreds of years, and will continue to be at war for hundreds more. Israel is fighting for the Gaza strip, and Palestine is fighting to completely take over and wipe out Israel. Recently Israel pulled all of its people out of the Gaza strip to help ease the violence. Which seemed to help in the short term, but now Palestine killed two Israeli soldiers, and captured one; that were on the border between Israel and the Gaza strip… There to keep the Palestinians out of Israel and keep the Israelis out of the strip. Hence the bombing. Israel is trying to keep the peace, but when Palestine sends over suicide bombers, or captures Israeli soldiers, they are not going to sit back and do nothing.

Professor Bob Carter of the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University, in Australia gives what, for many Canadians, is a surprising assessment: “Gore’s circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention.”

Carter is one of hundreds of highly qualified non-governmental, non-industry, non-lobby group climate experts who contest the hypothesis that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are causing significant global climate change. “Climate experts” is the operative term here. Why? Because what Gore’s “majority of scientists” think is immaterial when only a very small fraction of them actually work in the climate field.
