Rush fights back

So after the great Harry Reid “phony soldiers” incident, where 41 US Senators waisted American time, and tax money, and tried to smear Rush Limbaugh. He decided to turn the tables. He has taken the letter with all 41 of the signatures and has put it on eBay for a charity called The Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation. He has also made a challenge to each of the 41 Senators to match the amount of the finial eBay auction price. Yesterday at this time, the auction was at just over $50,000. At the time I write this it is at $105,300
I wonder who in the end, the lucky bidder will be.

The sad thing is that Democrats tried to stop eBay from hosting this auction, and went as far as calling the charity fake. They will do anything to hurt someone that is trying to do good, in order to feel good about themselves. How sick is that?

Hillary on The View.

Hillary was on The View today… Surprise, Surprise.

There was one thing she said that really bothers me. Whoopi Goldberg asked her what are the first three things she would do if she was elected into office. She said the first thing she would do is to start bringing home our Troops. Its clear that it is an answer just to please the anti-war crowd. After all in her last debate she said that she would still have Troops in Iraq after her first term in office. So is she going to pull out a few hundred, just to make the far left happy? It seems like she is trying to play to both sides. The democrats all talk about bring home the troops over and over, but when it comes down too it they said they couldn’t end the war before 2013.

So I decided to visit DailyKos

The title says it. I just visited for the first time today to see what it was all about. If you didn’t know, it is a place where far left wing-nuts can host their blogs and whine about how we are in a war that their own Senators voted for, but its somehow all only Bush’s fault.

I found a topic on the front page called No offence, but isn’t it about time for the Catholic Church to put up or shut up. You can read the whole thing if you want, but I will give a brief overview. The writer basically criticizes the Catholic Church for not speaking out against: “the murder of Mother Nature”, “the destruction of America’s middle and lower classes”, “the treasonous lies about 9/11”, and “the theft of America’s retirement and health care programs” to name a few.

Isn’t this the same group of people that tries to shut up Christians every other day; but when they need someone to blame, the Catholic Church is wrong for not speaking up? It is not the job of the church to speak out about anything, it is the job of the people, and the people make up the church.

If I remember correctly the Pope has spoken out a number of time against the war. I guess the writer forgot. Tell me, why would the Catholic Church speak about “the murder of Mother Nature”? Their job is to save lives, not save trees. The destruction of the middle and lower class? All of the stats show that the middle class is richer then its ever been, and still growing. No matter how rich the lower class becomes, it will still be the lower class, it is a fact of life that it will never go away.

This might surprise you, but conservatives are 51% more likely to volunteer for a secular charity then liberals, and give 30% more money to secular charities, yet earn 6% less then liberals(via – Who Really Cares). This is why conservatives don’t want government run social and health programs. Plus the fact that they dont work. If you need help go to church, that is part of the reason they are there.

Stop the amnesty insanity!

How many of you really want the Illegal immigrant amnesty bill to pass? It would grant 12,000,000 illegal people US citizenship. Even the people I know on the far left do not want this bill to pass, so why is it even still on the table? I don’t know what our government is thinking. It does not benefit our country in any way. Its not that the people in the US cant do the work that they do, they just know better then to do work for less then minimum wage. Send a letter to your Congressman and let them know that what they are doing is wrong. It will take you 2 minutes to do.

Kansas House of Representatives Prayer

This was the prayer that was read at the opening of a 1996 Kansas House of Representatives session. Amazing what you find on the Internet 11 years later that you never knew about.

Rev. Joe Wright:

Heavenly Father, we come before you to ask your forgiveness. We seek your direction and your guidance. We know your word says, “Woe to those who call evil good.” But that’s what we’ve done.

We’ve lost our spiritual equilibrium. We have inverted our values. We have ridiculed the absolute truth of your word in the name of moral pluralism. We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism.

We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle.

We’ve exploited the poor and called it a lottery. We’ve neglected the needy and called it self-preservation. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. In the name of choice, we have killed our unborn. In the name of right to life, we have killed abortionists.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem. We have abused power and called it political savvy. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it taxes. We have
polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, oh, God, and know our hearts today. Try us. Show us any wickedness within us. Cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of the State of Kansas, and that they have been ordained by you to govern this great state.

Grant them your wisdom to rule. May their decisions direct us to the center of your will. And, as we continue our prayer and as we come in out of the fog, give us clear minds to accomplish our goals as we begin this Legislature. For we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
