We hear just about everyday in the news, how the Presidents poll rating has gone down, but they leave out the fact that the numbers for the democrat led congress is even worse. Now comes a new poll from the Las Vegas Review-Journal in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s home state that shows that his approval rating is even lower then the Presidents. This is something you will never hear about in the mainstream media, or find on Daily Kos. Reid is their main man. He leads dirty smears against people like Rush Limbaugh, and the far left love it, too bad the people he represents have to suffer.
Reid’s favorable rating was 32 percent, compared with 51 percent unfavorable and 15 percent neutral. Gibbons was viewed favorably by 30 percent, Bush by 34 percent.
The Review-Journal last asked Nevadans their opinion of Reid in early May. At that time, he was seen favorably by 46 percent and unfavorably by 42 percent.
Even that was seen as alarming for Reid because his favorability did not top 50 percent and because the difference between the two numbers was only 4 percentage points. It continued a slide for Reid that coincides with his taking the Democratic leadership after his re-election in 2004, with 61 percent of the vote.
The new poll marks the first time the Review-Journal has measured Reid’s unfavorable rating higher than his favorable number.

This is why the main stream media can not be trusted. ABC News pretty much gives all the credit for the money raised for the Rush letter to Reid. First of all none of the MSM covered the story when it first came out except for Fox News. They only begin to talk about it after the great success that the auction had.
But today comes word that a Wasghinton, D.C. area philanthropist, Betty Casey (or bettyc588, as she is known on Ebay) is going to pay over $2 million for a letter Senate Democrats wrote to Mark Mays, President of Clear Channel, asking him to condemn Rush Limbaugh for the “phony soldiers” comment. - ABC News
Plus ABC News still get the facts wrong by saying that Rush condemns Troops that are anti-war. When in fact he was talking about people who pretend to be war heroes, and lie about the war. For the people on the left who just don’t seem to get it; pretend = phony.
Now the best part of all is the fact that Harry Reid, on the Senate floor, hours before the auction was about to end, tried to take credit for the money being raised, and asked the Senators to contribute.
BUT WITHOUT QUALIFICATION MARK MAY, THE OWNER OF THE NETWORK THAT HAS RUSH LIMBAUGH AND RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOULD KNOW THAT THIS LETTER THAT THEY’RE AUCTIONING IS GOING TO BE SOMETHING THAT RAISES MONEY FOR A WORTHWHILE CAUSE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT WE COULD DO MORE IMPORTANT THAN HELPING TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN OF OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS AND POLICE OFFICERS WHO HAVE FALLEN IN THE LINE OF DUTY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO HAVE A GOOD EDUCATION…
THERE’S ONLY A LITTLE BIT OF TIME LEFT SO I WOULD ASK THOSE THAT ARE WANTING TO DO MORE, THAT THEY CAN GO TO HARRY REID LETTER AND IT WILL COME UP ON E-BAY. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED WITH THE MEANS TO CONSIDER CONTRIBUTING TO THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE. I STRONGLY BELIEVE WHEN WE CAN PUT OUR DIFFERENCES ASIDE, EVEN HARRY REID AND RUSH LIMBAUGH, WE SHOULD DO THAT AND TRY TO ACCOMPLISH GOOD THINGS FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. THIS DOES THAT, MADAM PRESIDENT. MORE THAN $2 MILLION FOR A LETTER SIGNED BY THIS SENATOR AND MY FRIENDS. - The Corner on National Review Online
Rush Limbaugh matched the 2.1 million that was donated, so a total of 4.2 million will go to the charity… but where is Reid and the other 40 Senators? Why haven’t they taken up Rush’s challenge and matched it? Talk is cheap.

So after the great Harry Reid “phony soldiers” incident, where 41 US Senators waisted American time, and tax money, and tried to smear Rush Limbaugh. He decided to turn the tables. He has taken the letter with all 41 of the signatures and has put it on eBay for a charity called The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation. He has also made a challenge to each of the 41 Senators to match the amount of the finial eBay auction price. Yesterday at this time, the auction was at just over $50,000. At the time I write this it is at $105,300
I wonder who in the end, the lucky bidder will be.
The sad thing is that Democrats tried to stop eBay from hosting this auction, and went as far as calling the charity fake. They will do anything to hurt someone that is trying to do good, in order to feel good about themselves. How sick is that?
