A few days ago Congress and the President passed into law a new energy bill. Inside this new energy bill is a provision to kill off the incandescent light bulb within the next 4 to 12 years. Its very sad news. They want to replace our 100 watt friend with ugly twisty CFL bulbs that are supposed to be better for the environment. Too bad for us, each one of those Polar Bear saving bulbs, have poisonous Hg(mercury) in them. I guess its OK for people to pay the consequences, as long as the earth is safe.

These feel-good dim bulbs give you crappy lighting, don’t live up to their longevity promises, and are a pain in the neck to dispose of–but they sure make enviro-nitwits and Big Greenie water-carriers feel good about themselves.

What happened to keeping government out of our bedroom? And our bathroom? And our utility closets?

The Gore-ing of America continues… Via- MichelleMalkin

Too bad for me I live in California, and will probably be one of the first to have to pay for this.

A report from The Register says that Al Gore’s Climate Crisis blog was recently hacked. How inconvenient for him. Wouldn’t you think he would have known better? After all he did invent the Internet. His blog is using the same platform as I use, WordPress, but it was a much older version. Now what is to blame for this phenomenon, Global warming, or George W Bush?

I have to give Al Gore credit on his blog, or maybe the designer, it does look rather spiffy. Though he is a little lacking on his content. Last post was on September 15th, 2006. Or maybe that is a good thing.

More proof the far left have no clue what they are talking about. Global warming can not be blamed for everything wrong with the world.

NASA Sees Arctic Ocean Circulation Do an About-Face

A team of NASA and university scientists has detected an ongoing reversal in Arctic Ocean circulation triggered by atmospheric circulation changes that vary on decade-long time scales. The results suggest not all the large changes seen in Arctic climate in recent years are a result of long-term trends associated with global warming.

“Our study confirms many changes seen in upper Arctic Ocean circulation in the 1990s were mostly decadal in nature, rather than trends caused by global warming,” said Morison.

“While some 1990s climate trends, such as declines in Arctic sea ice extent, have continued, these results suggest at least for the ‘wet’ part of the Arctic — the Arctic Ocean — circulation reverted to conditions like those prevalent before the 1990s,” he added.

This is especially funny to me, because recently one of my environmentalist friends just rambled off some global warming stats from NASA. I wonder what he will say after I print this out for him.
