The title says it. I just visited DailyKos.com for the first time today to see what it was all about. If you didn’t know, it is a place where far left wing-nuts can host their blogs and whine about how we are in a war that their own Senators voted for, but its somehow all only Bush’s fault.
I found a topic on the front page called No offence, but isn’t it about time for the Catholic Church to put up or shut up. You can read the whole thing if you want, but I will give a brief overview. The writer basically criticizes the Catholic Church for not speaking out against: “the murder of Mother Nature”, “the destruction of America’s middle and lower classes”, “the treasonous lies about 9/11″, and “the theft of America’s retirement and health care programs” to name a few.
Isn’t this the same group of people that tries to shut up Christians every other day; but when they need someone to blame, the Catholic Church is wrong for not speaking up? It is not the job of the church to speak out about anything, it is the job of the people, and the people make up the church.
If I remember correctly the Pope has spoken out a number of time against the war. I guess the writer forgot. Tell me, why would the Catholic Church speak about “the murder of Mother Nature”? Their job is to save lives, not save trees. The destruction of the middle and lower class? All of the stats show that the middle class is richer then its ever been, and still growing. No matter how rich the lower class becomes, it will still be the lower class, it is a fact of life that it will never go away.
This might surprise you, but conservatives are 51% more likely to volunteer for a secular charity then liberals, and give 30% more money to secular charities, yet earn 6% less then liberals(via – Who Really Cares). This is why conservatives don’t want government run social and health programs. Plus the fact that they dont work. If you need help go to church, that is part of the reason they are there.
