Back in 2002 or so I had a ton of photos from my very first digital camera, everything from pets to different family events. Too bad for me I didn’t have any way to back it up, and I lost it all in a Hard Drive crash. I was really upset, and heart broken. I had lost all photos of our cat that had recently died, and everything else.
It was a Maxtor drive, and it was still under warranty, so I sent it in and they replaced it. Lucky me, I took more photos, and filled up the HDD with more memories, only to lose that drive to another HDD crash. It had died in under a year. I was upset all over again. I tried different recovery programs, but nothing seemed to work. I still have the HDD to this day, in case I find a way to recovery what was on it.
I learned a few things then: don’t buy Maxtor ever again, and make sure to back everything up. Fast forward to today. Now that I have enough money to back things up, I finally feel good about the state of my computer. I have a 200GB External Seagate Hard drive, that automatically backs up all my important files everyday. Sounds good right. I have a second 200GB External Seagate Hard drive also backing up the same important files. As soon as I get my desktop running again, I plan on backing everything up on DVDs. The reason I picked Seagate as my Hard Drives, is back in 2001 when I got my first PC it had a 30GB Seagate. I still have that HDD and still use it to this day. Thank You Seagate.
